What do they know of testing who only testing know?

This article argues that good testers have to understand the people for whom they’re providing a service. Phil Kirkham made the good point in a comment that my argument ties in with Gerald Weinberg’s second law of consulting from his book “The Secrets of Consulting”. “No matter what the problem is, it’s always a people problem.”
